Another of the Battle of Britain Class, 34072 "257 Squadron", approaches with a train. Built at Brighton Works in 1948, it was one of the first of this batch produced under BR ownership, so was not allocated a Southern Railway (21C---) number and carried its BR number from the start. Withdrawn in 1964.
