Class 69 69007 "Richard Trevithick". When GB Railfreight was unable to purchase more Class 66 diesel locos, they bought some redundant Class 56 locos (see slide 17 later), ripped all the innards out of them and had them fitted with the same engines and equipment as the Class 66 diesels. These converted locos became Class 69. This one, 69007, was converted from 56037, which had been built at BREL Doncaster. Conversion by Progress Rail at their workshop in Longport 2022.
