As explained in our 2012 slide show, Sid’s Café now really is a café! It was formerly a Fish & Chip shop, but when the show started in 1973, it was being used as a store room by the hardware shop next door. It was given a makeover for each film appearance, until the success of the TV series made it worthwhile for the owner to turn it into a real café! The Parish Church is immediately to the left.
